Summary
Nice little camera for playing around with the kids and has A/V inputs so I can attach helmet cams for mountain bike adventures. Kids love to watch videos of themselves doing goofy things. We'll probably convert old camcorder tapes to digital with this mini -dv cam.

Weaknesses
Noisy. Not just when recording -- it's noisy enough to hear it when turned on. Noise is picked up in recording in quiet areas. Don't purchase if you regularly video in quiet areas.
