Description
The p2 is based on asymmetric tilts and swings, not the traditional center or base tilts. This means rapid and precise settings, without ever losing sharpness on the axis.

Summary If one can afford this camera there's a reliable tool for at least the rest of one's life. What more can I ask?
Strengths Its modular design (you can buy it in pieces)makes it suitable, if not superb, for most LF needs. The one I assembled for my studio food photography has been in daily use for 10 years with minimum of servicing. All 4x5's are cumbersome in use but this one gives great transparencies and offers me the luxury of observing the ground glass with both eyes, sitting in my chair.
Weaknesses The metering system, Sinar Booster 1, outlived my old Minolta flash meter, and their newest model (Minolta Flash Meter V) is not fully compatible with Booster 1. The electronic shutter was not worth the price, so I switched back to the mechanical one.

Summary It has all the appeal of a true studio camera with all the history of photography to back it up.
Strengths asymmetric tilts and swings, Yaw free, great effects for landscape and portraiture with that "shimfleug" effect
Weaknesses none

Customer Service It is very adaptable for fine art photography and still lifes. My customers get into the black cloth idea of posing for a portrait like at an old timey studio.
