Summary
Oh yes the famed Kodak EPH 1600,my favorite film for rock concerts. If it was Hootie and the Blow Fish or Dave Matthews the film was there, it's not as grainy as you think but still when you push it to 1600. See folks it starts out as a 400 speed film but when you push it to EI 800 it is pushed to one stop and when you push it to EI 1600 it is pushed to two stops,I think folks that is correct.

Strengths
pushability

Weaknesses
the price,Kodak should have thought about the pricing of this product, but it's still a good film.

Summary
I tried this film taking dim indoor shots of traditional artisans and noodle cooks. The usefulness of ISO1600 can't be underestimated in this situation - even under just a couple of lightbulbs, I could get 1/180th with my f2.8 200mm wide open. The results were very acceptable, especially under incandescent light. Some outdoor shots are less convincing, but you shouldn't really need this film for daylight too often. The large grain is quite soft, and often adds to the atmosphere of these kinds of pictures.

Strengths
This speed is invaluable in indoor situations
Grain is not unpleasant

Weaknesses
Colors in daylight predictably inferior to slower films
Fairly expensive film to use a lot of
