Summary I LOVE THE SIZE OF THIS METER, IT IS EXTREMELY ACURATE AND I HAVE NEVER HAD A PROBLEM. USES 9 VOLT BATTERY WHICH LAST A LONG TIME. FLASH PHOTOGRAPHY IS MADE SIMPLE WITH THIS METER. AMBIENT LIGHT READINGS DEAD ON. I PURCHASED THE METER DUE TO I SAW MADE PROS USING IT AND I ASKED THEM WHY THEY USED THE 328. AND EVERYONE AGREED ON SIZE AND ACCURACY. IF YOU NEED A METER THIS IS THE ON.
Strengths SIZE, LONG LASTING BATTERY AND EXTREMELY ACCURATE.

Summary This has been the only lightmeter that I have ever owned. It has never let me down. It's durable (It dropped out of my pocket from the top of a bulldozer onto some rocks - easily a 10 foot drop - during the first day of shooting that I used it.) I think that its giving you a battery test the moment you turn it on is a stroke of genius. I've sometimes found myself looking over the latest lightmeters but haven't been able to come up with any reason to replace my current meter.
Strengths It's hard to beat it's combination of price and performance. I also like the fact that it uses a single AA battery which lasts me several months of heavy use.
Weaknesses The white dome kept on popping off so I simply glued it into place permanently.

Summary This is an exellent meter, there is no competition at any price. My one wish is for the same product with a "beefed up" construction. The design of this meter means that it is a bit delicate. I have needed one repair to date when I dropped on the studio floor. This meter lives in my gadget bag rather than in my pocket (where it should be) when out walking.
Strengths Accuracy, versatility with 5 deg. spot. Analogue and digital read-outs. Excellent battery check function.
Weaknesses This is a well made meter but doesn't take knocks very well. It will break if you drop it. You need to carry a spare AA battery as battery life is quite short for a meter.

Summary An outstanding light/flash meter, at a moderate price. Every bit as good as the Minolta IV, only a lot smaller, and lighter. This is the best piece of photographic equipment I've ever purchased. P.S. You can buy an optional 5-degree spot attatchment for it, if you wish.
Strengths Small, light, very accurate, and very user friendly. Meter readings in full/half/and 1/10th stops. Cordless flash option is wonderful. Also has: swivel head, battery check, auto-"off" function, and a cine scale (for you soon-to-be DP's out there). Comes with case, strap, and 2 extra discs [flat, and reflected]. One AA lithium battery will last forever.
